Privacy Policy for Rhea

Rhea ("the App") is a free educational app developed and maintained by Rhea Learning. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have over it when you use the App.

1. Who We Are

2. Information We Collect

• Account information: name, email address, username, and profile picture.
• Sign-in information: when you sign in with Google, Apple, or email/password via Firebase Authentication.
• Learning activity: lesson progress, quiz answers, streaks, achievements, and club memberships.
• Notifications: your device's push notification token, used to send you reminders and updates.
• Subscriptions and payments: processed by RevenueCat. Rhea does not receive or store your full payment card details.
• Technical data: device type, operating system, and basic app diagnostics.

3. How We Use Your Information

• Create and authenticate your account
• Save and display your learning progress
• Personalize your experience within the App
• Enable social features, such as clubs and leaderboards
• Process and manage your Rhea Plus subscription
• Send you App-related push notifications
• Improve the App and fix bugs

We do not sell your personal data.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following providers to operate the App:

• Firebase (Google): authentication and push notification delivery.
• RevenueCat: in-app subscription and purchase processing.
• Apple / Google Sign-In: as optional sign-in methods.

These services may collect data as part of their integration with the App and operate under their own privacy policies.

5. Data Retention and Account Deletion

You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete Account within the App, by re-authenticating and confirming the deletion, or by contacting us directly.

When you delete your account, the following is permanently removed:

• Your profile information (name, username, picture)
• Your follower and following connections
• Your push notification tokens
• Your Firebase authentication credentials

Some data is retained in an anonymized form that can no longer be linked back to you, to preserve the integrity of leaderboards and club statistics: lesson and quiz completion history, leaderboard entries, streak records, and club memberships.

6. Children's Privacy

The App is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If we discover that such information has been collected, we will delete it promptly.

7. International Users and Your Rights

If you access the App from outside Spain, your data may be processed in accordance with applicable data protection laws, such as the GDPR. You have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your data, and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

8. Security

We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes are made constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
